a winding river

I’m Anna Landewe, an artist and designer. I work on the edge of a nature preserve in a floating studio I built from scratch. For over a decade, I’ve also tended an operable historic lighthouse with my family (Yes, a real lighthouse). We're honored to weave its past into our own life story.

My work has grown from this rugged closeness to nature. I see art as a way to convene with and learn from the world around me. I hope these discoveries become a cherished part of your story, too.

I was born into family of artists. They taught me how to prioritize creativity in overall wellness. I am so privileged to have their inspiration and constant support.

After undergraduate studies at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, I traveled to London for a Master of Arts at Camberwell College of Arts (University of the Arts London). I've since studied formal botanical illustration with the Royal Botanic Garden of Edinbugh in Scotland and natural history illustration with the University of Newcastle in Australia.
